How Heavy is Your Head? Fixing Bad Posture
In today’s world of technology, it is quite apparent that the average person is spending more time looking in a downward position, whether it’s texting, on the iPad, or on the work or home PC. This business of bending our heads all day is causing all sorts of problems in the spine, but especially the cervical spine. We are excited about our “How heavy is Your Head” workshop. We have been able to reach a lot of people about the benefits of having good posture. The first part of the workshop we cover simple anatomy and physiology. First time maybe in your life that science may come alive! We show some interesting slides that make people understand how bad posture damages the spinal joints. It is not on most peoples radar that poor posture could be the cause of headaches, neck pain, and stiffness. The last half of the class we go through seven postural home exercises that will keep you tall and straight. We even have a drawing for a cervical pillow at the end of the presentation! Our two workshops are on Tuesday evening at 6:30-7:30 and Saturday mornings at 8:00-9:00. Call Cristina to register for this event. If you are suffering with back pain, neck pain, headaches, sciatica, bulging or herniated disc and you would like a consult with Dr. Graham, then call our office and ask for Tina to schedule an appointment.
